We do not exaggerate results or guarantee trophies. We study the river, explain the conditions clearly, and work for the best honest chance at a fish you will remember.

The expedition
Everything essential.
Nothing distracting.
Four nights and five days in Negros Island, designed around 3.5 focused days of fishing. Hotel, meals, local transport and boat fees are included. Airfare, travel insurance and personal data costs are not included.

Years studying one fish
Every cast
has a reason.
Ryotaro Nagatsuma moved from Japan to Dumaguete with his family in 2018. For the past six years, he has studied Papuan Bass through a daily cycle of observation, testing and refinement.
As a guide, his priority is no longer his own catch. It is helping each guest make the cast that matters.

Questions, answered honestly.
What tackle should I bring?
Use PE 6–10 line with a baitcasting setup: a 7 ft XH or heavier rod and a 200- or 300-size baitcasting reel are the minimum standard. Spare rods, reels and proven lures can also be discussed before your trip.
How physically demanding is the trip?
Boat days are easy. Land-based days include riverbank walking. Tell us your preference and the rivers can be planned accordingly.
Can a less-experienced angler join?
Yes. Casting instruction is included. The trip is serious about the fish, but patient and welcoming to guests who are still developing their skills.
When is the best season?
The season is November through May. Conditions are generally most stable from January to April, but no date can guarantee a fish.
What happens after I arrive?
You are met at the airport and local transport, hotel, meals and fishing arrangements are handled until your return transfer.
How is payment arranged?
Payment instructions are shared personally after dates and trip details are confirmed. Wise and bank-transfer options are available.
